Agoston Tamas is the founder and Principal of Tamas Immigration.

Tamas is a Canadian Immigration Consultant, registered with the Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC Membership Number R507054), and an Australian Migration Agent, registered with the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority (Migration Agents Registration Number 1069107).

Tamas was admitted as a Legal Practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2006, and he holds a Master of Laws Degree, a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, and a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, Australia.

Tamas has also been conferred a Certificate of Qualification by the National Committee on Accreditation, a standing committee of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada

As a lawyer in Australia

Tamas worked with law firms in Victoria and Queensland in the areas of wills and estates, trademarks and intellectual property law, as well as corporate law and commercial law. Moreover, Tamas served as a volunteer lawyer for some years with the Caxton Legal Centre in Brisbane, Australia.

Tamas has provided assistance across a range of Canadian and Australian permanent and temporary visa streams, as well as prepared Ministerial Intervention applications and represented clients with more complex immigration issues before the Administrative Appeals Tribunal in Australia.

Tamas’ professional affiliations include membership in CAPIC-ACCPI, Canada, and Migration Alliance, Australia.

Tamas takes an interest in linguistics, and is himself fluent in several languages.

Prior to his carrier as a lawyer in Australia, and before embarking on Canadian and Australian immigration work, Tamas was a concert violinist. Tamas performed with leading orchestras in Hong Kong, United States, Scandinavia, and Australia, and he earned a Master of Music Degree at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, United States of America.
